Last night I spent hours searching the archives of The Writers' View for posts concerning conferences. If you look at the countdown on the right sidebar, it looks like a long time. But subtract the occasional day-off or time with family, and the days are flying past.

I had two objectives:

1. To find how best Marion and I can prepare to get the most out of the conference.
2. To find someone who lives near Orlando and can advise us about hotels in the area.

Out of the thousands of emails on the site, one drew my attention: from a lady named Clella. She has attended the Florida Christian Writers' Conference I think five times.

I immediately wrote to her, bombarding her with questions.

This morning in my Quiet Time, my reading was about the Body of Christ.

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12

I switched on my laptop to check emails and found Clella had already replied. She answered all my questions and suggested we get to know one another before the conference which she hopes to attend. She also has forwarded my email to a writing buddy who lives in the Orlando area and says, "I know we will be able to find you just the place to stay in Orlando."

Isn't this just what the Lord means by this Scripture? There's an ocean between us, but we belong to the same Body. I just can't wait to see how this works out!

Prayer Pointers:

Pray that we are able to find a suitable hotel and transport to the conference
