"There are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it."

GalleryImage Rob and I were married on 5th. August, 1967, in Gwelo, Rhodesia. I am a qualified nurse (RN) and Rob is an ordained minister of the Gospel. Following an intense battle with cancer, I became a freelance writer. After 37 years of uninterrupted full-time ministery Rob retired from the Presbyterian Church of Southern Africa.

We moved to the beautiful seaside city of Port Elizabeth, a mere seven-minute walk from the beach. We enjoy a busy and fruitful life that doesn't in any way resemble our anticipated picture of sitting on the stoep with the newspaper all day. For this we thank God. I am currently a full-time nursing sister (RN) at a local frail care home and Rob is chairman of an active committee at our retirement complex.

We have a daughter and two sons, all of whom are happily married and committed Christians. We are also proud grandparents to two fine young people approaching adulthood and two gorgeous little people.

Daughter Debbie is married to Craig. They are parents of our eldest grandchildren. Sacha and Llewellyn are both sport-loving teenagers. This family is on the mission field in a Muslim country in Eurasia, where Craig is school director and Debbie teaches Art.
